Island in Madagascar Nosy Boraha, or Sainte-Marie Island, is an island off the east coast of Madagascar. Near the main town of Ambodifotatra, the Pirate Cemetery has graves marked with a skull and crossbones. Off the south coast, the tiny Île aux Nattes and Îlot aux Sables are bordered by coral reefs and populated by sea turtles. The Antanandava waterfall is surrounded by a tropical forest. On the east coast, traditional canoes sail on the lagoon of Ampanihy bay.
Many activities are offered, including going on a viewing excursion to meet the large species of birds endemic to the island. For the more athletic, you can also opt for a trek in the lush forest of the park. You will not fail to go for a dip in the beautiful natural swimming pool in which falls a waterfall, or to admire the sacred waterfall of the park which contains the secrets of the great cultural traditions of the island.

A unique primary forest Made up of two distinct protected areas: the Analamazoatra Special Reserve and the Mantadia National Park; Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is only about three hours from the capital. Refuge for many animal and plant species, almost the entire park is made up of primary forest that has never undergone human modification. It is therefore not uncommon to come across a multitude of species: lemurs, birds, chameleons, and insects of all kinds.
The climate in the park is quite cool, the average temperature is around 20 ° C and it rains most of the year. So plan to cover yourself up if the weather turns bad. You will find all types of accommodation in Andasibe town and around the park, but it is also possible to camp in the Analamazoatra reserve.
