It is located on southeastern side of Nosy Be, an island off the coast of Madagascar.

The Kirindy Mitea National Park is a national park on the coast of the Mozambique Channel, in south-west Madagascar.
The 72,200 hectares park contains many endemic animals and plants and claims to have the greatest density of primates in the world.

Isalo National Park is a sandstone landscape that has been dissected by wind and water erosion into rocky outcrops, plateaus, extensive plains and up to 200 m deep canyons. There are permanent rivers and streams as well as many seasonal watercourses.[2] Elevation varies between 510 and 1268 m.
